At Contreras Law, we understand the importance of providing efficient, aggressive and responsive legal representation at all times. As we continue to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic together, we want to assure you that we are taking the necessary precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19, while continuing to remain open remotely to new and current clients.
At Contreras Law, we pride ourselves in being innovative with attorneys who not only stay current with new laws and technology but utilize them to provide you the experience you expect from a law firm. In times like these, our state-of-the-art technology and robust infrastructure allow all of our attorneys to have the ability to work remotely with continued access to our secure systems and data. These services include answering our main phone line, client communication via phone or email, preparation of documents with court compliant e-signatures, as well as court filings for certain matters still being processed.
However, in order to ensure everyone’s safety, the following adjustments will be implemented starting March 16, 2020:
- Although the San Diego County Courts have announced that they have suspended all non-emergency services effective March 17, 2020 – May 22, 2020, we are closely monitoring any changes and updating our clients accordingly. You may find the most recent official court updates here: www.sdcourt.ca.gov
- If you are a new client seeking legal representation, you may contact us through our regular means of communication (telephone, e-mail or text) and we will connect you with an attorney who will be able to assist you. Our technology allows us to remain fully functional while working remotely.
- If you are a current client and have a court appearance scheduled between now and May 22, 2020, the attorney handling your case will contact you regarding your specific matter, whether our appearance or yours is necessary, or whether your hearing will be continued.
We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation very closely and will comply with all mandated regulations and closures. During this difficult and confusing time, we ask that you take care of yourselves and continue to support each other. Please do not hesitate to reach out to our office should you have any questions as to how COVID-19 may impact your case.
