Most famous prenuptial agreements

According to family law attorneys’ prenuptial agreements are more common than they used to a few years ago.

However, some couples don’t feel it’s necessary to draft a prenuptial agreement when they get engaged. You don’t have to own a lot of money nor have a large estate to benefit from a prenup.

Some of the main benefits are knowing in advance what your financial obligations would be in case of a divorce, be on the same financial page about your future together, and it can be a communication exercise that brings the two of you closer. Learn more about prenuptial agreements here.

We share with you today some of the most famous prenuptial agreements between celebrities.

1. Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake. It was revealed that one of the issues in the couple’s prenuptial agreement was that if Justin ever cheated on her wife, he would have to give her $500,000.

2. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. Their prenup states that in the event of a divorce, Kim gets to keep her wedding ring along with all the other gifts Kanye has given her. Plus, she gets 1 million for every year she was married to him.

3. Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones. In case of a divorce, Catherine gets $2.8 million for every year that she was married. And if Michael cheats on her, she’s entitled to a $5 million bonus.

4. Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan. The couple’s prenup has a clause about quality time. Priscilla asked for at least 100 minutes of alone time with Mark and one date night per week.

5. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. Their prenuptial agreement stated that she would receive $3 million per year of marriage in case of a divorce.

6. Liz Taylor and Larry Fortensky. Their prenup stated that he would receive $1 million after five years of marriage.

7. Beyoncé and Jay Z. Their prenuptial agreement says that whether they divorce or not, she gets $5 million for every baby she has, the couple currently has three children together. Also, in the event of a divorce she gets $1 million for every year of marriage.
