Sept. 22: Pitt Is Under Investigation for Child Abuse. The L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services is investigating child abuse claims against Pitt after someone anonymously reported an incident that allegedly occurred last Wednesday on the couple’s private plane. Pitt is accused of getting verbally abusive with one of the couple’s kids, as well as getting “physical,” a source says. He was also said to be drinking at the time of the incident. Jolie was present at the time, along with at least some of their other children.

The actress listed the date of separation as Sept. 15 in the divorce filings, a day after Pitt’s alleged blowup. The case has also been referred to the FBI since it allegedly happened while the family was in the air.
