Ms. Acevedo enjoys finding the irregularities in the law and complex cases involving issues of a first impression.

It is for these reasons that Ms. Acevedo targets her practice to:

Surrogacy Law: A new and still developing area of family cases, Ms. Acevedo is proficient in both drafting the Surrogacy Contract as well as obtaining a Pre-Birth Judgment for the intended parents.

Domestic Violence Restraining Orders: Ms. Acevedo uses her courtroom skills to obtain evidence and testimony to achieve the best outcome for clients either requesting or defending a restraining order.

Guardianship/Conservatorship: These matters inherently involve families during a particularly difficult time. Ms. Acevedo uses her skills to prepare an analysis to help walk each client through the complex court procedures.

Additionally, Ms. Acevedo is well versed in the many facets of divorce and paternity matters, and prides herself in being able to put together a strategic and personalized plan for her clients when it comes to child custody, visitation, child support, spousal support, and division of assets.

Ms. Acevedo is fluent in English and Spanish. She graduated college from the University of California, San Diego, where she obtained a degree in Political Science and Spanish Literature. She attended law school at California Western School of Law, where she received her Juris Doctor.

Ms. Acevedo has been an active member of the San Diego community since 2007, where she has previously participated in the Community Law Project, a program that offers free legal advice and referrals to members of the San Diego Community.
